Cable cars and winches
In technology, the winch is a device for lifting and lowering or for pulling loads in various designs.
Winches are essential in cableway technology, but also in numerous other applications, for example in connection with trucks, cranes, ships or construction machinery. There are smaller and larger versions, whereby the planetary gears from Rollstar tend to be used for larger versions with high torques.
Service-friendly planetary gearboxes
Rollstar products impress with their compact design, easy handling and long service life. The planetary gearboxes in combination with our own hydraulic motors or a motor of your choice can also be mounted on the winches from the outside. This has the advantage that, with a standard service, accessibility to the drive is ensured in the shortest possible time.
A cable car auxiliary drive with three-stage planetary gear from Rollstar and attached external motor. The maximum output torque is 360,000 Nm. This auxiliary drive is only used if the main drive should fail in order to be able to transport people safely downwards.
Drive for a heavy-duty winch for an inclined shaft elevator. The winch is designed for a pulling force of 20 tons. In this project, an oblique tunnel connection of 200 m length to an existing subway was laid. The winch was used for material handling between the upper and lower construction site. The drive power of the winch is 400 kW.
