Shipbuilding and port equipment
Rollstar drives can be used in a wide range of applications in shipbuilding and offshore applications.
A classic application example on ships are anchor winches. Our planetary gearboxes can be combined with a Rollstar hydraulic motor or a motor of your choice and mounted on the winches from the outside. This has the advantage that with a standard service, the drive is accessible in the shortest possible time.
Another area of application for our hydraulic motors are so-called dredging drives, which pump up sludge and soil from the seabed.
From port crane to offshore platform
Hydraulic motors from Rollstar in combination with our planetary gearboxes are ideally suited for the drives of rotary and swivel drives in port cranes. The compact design allows use in the smallest possible installation space.
Another application is the lifting and lowering device of offshore platforms. Up to four Rollstar motors with planetary gears are mounted per gear rack and ensure the exact positioning of the desired platform working height.
