Gear unit
Rollstar produces planetary gearboxes as well as specific gearboxes adapted to customer requirements for a wide range of applications.
Rollstar gearboxes have a modular design and virtually every size is available with different gear ratios. As a gear motor or in combination with our Hydromotors we offer complete drive solutions that are characterized by the highest quality, reliability and a long service life.
Why do we need gears
Gears are used to convert the speed and torque of an upstream motor.
Speed and torque can thus be actively influenced via the gear and its design. Depending on the size or gear stage, the speed of a motor is converted to faster or slower.
The power of a gear is measured in the unit newton meter (Nm). This unit describes the effective force of the gear. Rollstar produces gearboxes in a power range of 1500 to 6.5 million Nm and thus covers a wide range of applications.
